Family Prayer Night next week
We are holding a family prayer night in the Church next week on Wednesday (8th November) at 6pm. All families are welcome to come along and pray with some of the students preparing for their Confirmation. We will have about 30 minutes of contemplative prayer followed by an activity. Please email Mr Ryan (geoffrey.ryan@cg.catholic.edu.au) if you are attending to ensure there are enough resources.
Remembrance Day Liturgy
Next Friday (10 November) the Year 1 students are leading a liturgy for Remembrance Day. It will be held near the memorial garden at 10:40am. All families are welcome to attend, especially those of the Year 1 students.
Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry Team have been doing more amazing work in our school. The team ran a retreat for kindergarten students this week and are preparing a retreat for students in Year 1. The Youth Ministry team will have the opportunity to attend the Illuminate Student Retreat on Friday, Week 7 (24 November). An event will be set up on Compass next week for Year 6 students to register.
St Vincent de Paul Society
Thank you for all the donations coming through for Vinnies! The Kambah conference are very grateful for the consistent donations from our school. As we get closer to Christmas you may like to donate the following items to help fill Christmas Hampers and go to families in need; tinned fruits, coffee/tea, pasta, long-life milk, chocolates, lollies or Christmas Puddings.
Another idea for donations: If you are collecting ‘BBQ credits’ at Coles but are not interested in the items for yourself. You could still get the BBQ items and donate them to Vinnies. Cooking utensils and chopping boards will always be helpful! The following link shows you what can be collected with the BBQ credits if you are interested.
