Dear Parents and Carers,
As an important part of the Assessment and Reporting Program, we will be holding Parent Teacher Interviews in Week 8 of this term. (Year 1 will be in Week 7, as Leyrizza Nyunt will be close to going on Maternity Leave).
Dialogue is an important feature of reporting and the discussions that take place in these interviews give parents and carers a far better understanding of their child’s academic, social, spiritual and emotional progress than does a written comment on the Semester Report.
An invitation for you to book a time to meet with your child/ren’s teacher face to face or over MS Teams will be sent out on Sunday night 4 June at 6pm. We welcome parents and carers into the school for these meetings or an online option is also available. These meetings will give all our parents and carers a detailed understanding of their child’s learning for Semester 1.
When you book your preferred time via the link being sent on Sunday, there are two important things to note.
- Make sure you find the name of the teacher you want in the drop down menu and choose that name. They are in alphabetical order.
- If you would prefer an MS Teams online meeting, still book a time via the link and follow it up with an email to the teacher requesting an online meeting.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the school if you have any issues with this process.
Tell Them from Me Survey
There is only one week to go before this survey closes. We are very keen to hear from you and get your feedback. Sometimes when people are happy with how things are going, they don’t worry about filling in surveys, as they think it’s only for telling us what is not working well. We love to hear about the things that are going well so we know we are meeting the needs of our families.
We hoping for at least 60% of parents and carers completing this survey so we get a thorough understanding of the thoughts from a majority of the community.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. The link to the survey was sent out via Compass.
Enrolment Interviews
I am enjoying conducting enrolment interviews for our Kindergarten 2024 students. It's such a pleasure to meet with and talk with these 4 and 5 year olds and their very proud parents. It seems only yesterday that my own children were having these interviews. One minute they’re starting school and before you know it, they are graduating from college. What a privilege it is to be a parent.
Have a lovely weekend.
Yours in partnership,
Ursula Jamieson

Term 2 - The Way
Today, the candidates for reconciliation, Year 3 and family volunteers took part in our Reconciliation Retreat. It has been a special day, full of wonder and contemplation. Thank you to our family volunteers for helping make this day possible. Thank you to the children for your reverent participation. Thank you to Chiara, Mrs Clynch, Mrs Stewart, Mrs Arnel, Mrs Burston and Mrs O'Callaghan for all of your help today.
St Vincent de Paul
Thank you for your generous donations. The newly inducted Mini Vinnies team collected all these donations from the classrooms. Thank you everyone!
This week we are asking families to donate rice, pasta and meal base sauces. Please consider adding one of these items to your weekly shop to make life a little easier for those in need in our community. Children can bring items in any day and place them in the St Vincent de Paul tub in each classroom.

Please mark in your diaries:
- Wednesday 7 June- First Reconciliation 6pm in the church.
- Friday 16 June- Year 1 community prayer 2:30pm in the church.
May your faith grow through your interactions with others this week,

Calendar
To view the Parent and Carers calendar please follow the link below to our school website. This calendar is very user friendly and clear to view on mobile phones.
A friendly reminder to return all overdue library books. Thank you to all the families who have found and returned books. Students have 2 weeks for loans then books need to be returned for others to share and enjoy.
Another week, another celebration in the library! This week was “National Reconciliation Week” which was celebrated with the sharing of many indigenous picture books. Our library has quite the collection and it was great to share so many stories with different classes. We also made our own message sticks which will be used to create an artwork in the library. Stay tuned for the finished product!
Our sloth colouring in competition prizes were also handed out at morning messages.

Happy Reading!
