Welcome to St Thomas the Apostle Primary School Kambah. Thank you for considering us as a partner in the journey of educating your child. Enrolment applications can be made at any time or more specifically during the Catholic Schools Enrolment Period. If you have any questions not anwered on our website or to make an appointment with our principal, Mrs Ursula Jamieson, please contact Jodie in our office between 8.30 am - 4.00pm daily.

St Thomas the Apostle is a Parish school which aims to provide the choice of Catholic Schooling to all those seeking a Catholic Education for their children. We believe that it is our responsibility to provide quality education which allows the full potential of all in the community to be developed. The staff, parents and parish work closely together educating the children in our Catholic traditions and supporting them in the development of their Faith.

2017 Catholic Schools Enrolment Period

The Archdiocese Enrolment period is now open for students enroling for 2018.

 

St Thomas the Apostle Enrolment dates for 2017 are:

    Open Day and Evening  Thurs 4 May, 9.30am - 6.00pm

    Open Evening Tue 9 May, 3.30 -7pm

    Kinder Information Night Mon 30 October, 7pm

    Kinder Welcome Visit (Child and Parent) Thurs 16 Nov, 9.30am - 10.50am

    Kinder Orientation Day (Child only) Fri 24 Nov, 9.30am - 12 noon

    St Anthony's Early Learning Centre Info Night Wed 10 May 6.30pm

 

During the enrolment period the school offers guided tours and time to meet the Principal. At this time enrolment packages are available. This package includes a CEO enrolment form and a St Thomas’ Information Book. If you decide to enrol your child at St Thomas the Apostle you will need to obtain an Enrolment Package from the school or by downloading it from our website, see link above. The forms should be completed and returned promptly to school with requested documentation. Upon lodgement of your enrolment forms, a non-refundable fee is payable to the school. After the form has been received all parents are invited to come and meet the Principal or his representative. At this interview parents have further opportunity to ask questions and inform the school about the needs of the child. It is important that there is an open sharing of information so we can work in partnership educating and supporting each child. Children enrolling for Kindergarten should be five (5) years of age by 30 April of the year of enrolment.

 

Enrolment Applications During the Year

Families moving into the area are able to apply for enrolment at the time of moving and are encouraged to contact the school when planning your move. An interview and tour of the school with our principal will be arranged.

Checklist of what is Required for Enrolment

  • Completed Enrolment Application
  • Enrolment Application signed by BOTH Parents
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copy of Baptism Certificate (If applicable)
  • Copy of Immunisation Records
  • Payment of $25.00 CEO Enrolment Fee
  • Parents of students with Special Needs must inform the school and have all recent assessment reports ready for an interview with the CEO Special Needs Consultant, the Learning Support Team Leader and the Principal. At the time of application parents must agree for the school to access all information from the preschool and other agencies involved in supporting the child.
